Re: Time to say Howdy

I'm sorry to hear that... I hope all is going well, or at least getting better for you. I actually was going to ask about the score board, but, wasn't sure if they're still doing that. Is your community keeping little league score? ( I hope so ) It seems, anymore, that liberalism wants everyone one ...

Re: Purdue picks it's QB!

Sometimes I wonder what direction we're being taken in. Shannon's first two seasons had alot of transitions. Last year, we had Whipple running the offense and the improvement showed. Shannon is by far the best defensive mind the Cane's have had. He was our D-Coordinator during our 34-1 run. He was s...

Re: Purdue picks it's QB!

Though, Maurve didn't exactly leave the Canes because of; South Florida distractions. It was more because Randy Shannon wanted to lay down the law on his team, and used Maurve as an example, banning him from playing in the bowl game vs Cal. It was a minor infraction, but Shannon was trying to send a...

Re: What do you guys think about your team?

One thing I gathered from our spring game, Jacory is being prepped to toss it deep this season. You mentioned your concerns at defensive back. My guess is they'll be tested heavy in this game. I saw more short passes by the backups. I'm wondering if we're looking for a little more rotation @ qb this...

Re: NCAA Investigations

Check this clip: http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=5401056 To me, this is reprehensible. ( ofcourse, for those of you who know me well enough, what of espn isn't ) It just shows how much of a voice tool Kiper is. I never took much of what he had to say as stock, but seriously, this certainly exposes ...

Re: Purdue picks it's QB!

I think Maurve has lots of potential. Purdue is known for Qbs, they just need to build a defense to match what is usually a good offense. Well; heh, they just need to build a good offense to match what is usually a good offense... this year that is. (sigh) What ever happened to those good Ol' days ...

Re: Billy's Annual Opening Rant About SOS

Or so you say:

If there are 6 teams on my schedule that finish with 10+ Ws, and I beat at least 4 of those teams... hmmm,

That didn't happen by accident.

Re: What do you guys think about your team?

Really, it all falls back on the qb for us. If Harris plays to his potential, stops erratically forcing the ball into coverage, choosing instead to look for his second, and possibly 3rd, receivers rather than assuming the play is just going to work. He has the tendency to know who he's going to thro...

Re: Notre Dame Conference Rumblings

I agree; although, the thing that is making it more difficult for the B-East, is the rise of the western conference teams. There are several mid-majors starting to look like the big boys, and the Big East is having trouble maintaining multiple top 20 teams, in consecutive years. Not too long ago, pr...

Re: Notre Dame Conference Rumblings

Memphis may have held its own in recruiting, due to the field they sit in. ECU may have flourished a little. But I think the Mountaineer market would have crushed Marshall. Overall, however, I feel as though the B-East would have been vying too heavily for the say recruits in the long run. They are ...

Re: Washington State.....Bowl Game?

The only problem with that scenario, is that conference championship games come down to east vs. west, or north vs. south. And far too often one conference division sits head & shoulders above the other. When you have a southern division champ 12-0 , the northern division champ 6-6 with 4 confer...

Re: Cincinnati Won the Big East Last Year

Bummer. What were those bowls thinking? This would have been an almost historic opportunity and they are letting it fizzle away. Now, all we can do is play "what if?" An awful decision by the bowls. I think the way it happened was Fiesta Bowl selected TCU, then Orange Bowl took Iowa, so t...
