Re: Oregon v Stanford

I believe he was speaking to desire. If the players can’t muster the will to move the ball six inches when it is crucial to the game, then nothing the coach does is going to make a difference.

Re: Week 4 Gibberish

Might add a couple Big 10 tidbits. Wisconsin with a good win over Iowa and effectively eliminates everyone not named Ohio State. Dont think Iowa had a good shot but its zero now. And in the wow this team is irrelevant, Nebraska lost again, and badly. I wonder if Frost knew what he was getting into?...

As many mistakes as Oregon made with mishandling the ball, they would likely have snapped the ball past the punter ... there are never any guarantees.

There isn't, but the catch the Stanford TE made at the end was awesome. Oregon looked like the better team through the 3rd qtr.

Re: Oregon v Stanford

The game was lost when Oregon didn’t take a knee at the end of regulation. Stanford only had one time out so they would have had to punt, but they would have give Stanford the ball with 20 seconds left.

Re: Something you never seen before

This trick play term is bandied around like it is a sacrilege to run a play that is a surprise. There are no trick plays, it is a euphemism for a team that gets caught with their jocks down. Yep. Every play is an attempt by the offense to fool the defense. That is call strategy. The whole point is ...

Re: Something you never seen before

It is smart asking the refs before if it was legal. They basically guaranteed it to be legal. They took away a quick decision.

Re: Urban Meyer is back........

If there is more to come out I am sure the Woodward & Bernstein’s of the sports world will find it. No matter who they are, all coaches of major programs have things people can call them out on. I could name them, it would just be sour grapes. Jim Tressel, who I have met several times and like h...

The press is still furious at him for still not believing Courtney Smith. We guess what....if he had believed Courtney Smith he would have fired Zack Smith. I'm not saying Smith did or didn't because I am sure that Z Smith isn't innocent. I'm not sure C Smith is either. What I do know is Meyer used ...
