Re: Waffle House War...Ga. Vs Georgia Tech

In our years of cruising on our sailboats, I have had to clean too much fish, too early. The smell of fish in the morning does not whet my appetite...the smell of good coffee, sizzling eggs in butter...now that's a horse of a different tune. I've never been a coffee guy, but I get that, when we liv...

Re: Waffle House War...Ga. Vs Georgia Tech

We made lobster omelots in the Bahamas...we ate lobster morning, noon, and night...until I never wanted to see one again (I was spearing them from under reef ledges). Finally screamed "Stop"...made the best burger that I ever had, on bimini bread. But I will not have fish for breakfast......

Re: Waffle House War...Ga. Vs Georgia Tech

I actually like both breakfasts - sans the log cabin and the coffee. I have had smoke salmon benedict and it is great. I had lobster benedict at a little place in the north end of Boston, that was unbelievable. The place was a hole in the wall close in the north end. 1st time I ever gave over $100 f...

Re: So, The Guy That Made The Decision.......

That has always been my issue with Pharmaceuticals. If they use tax dollars to fund most or part of the research then why do they need to charge unreasonable rates for the drugs? I would gladly pay 5 times the cost of making my daughters insulin to support research. Maybe in 10 times. But when we do...

Interesting reading... https://healthcareinamerica.us/we-all-want-healthcare-to-cost-much-less-but-we-are-asking-the-wrong-question-8f6a0cb45253 I think most people believe that the business model is bad. All the tests that Doctors order is to protect themselves from lawsuits. Fixing that would be ...

Re: So, The Guy That Made The Decision.......

Is it really a treatment if it isn't affordable? Bernie Sanders and I rarely are on the same side on most issues, but the only way the price can come down on something like this is for the insurance to quit paying for it.

Re: So, The Guy That Made The Decision.......

You are a good Father, Mr. Billybud. I absolutely can not nor will I defend the medical system of the United States. I believe we have the best medical doctors in the world, the worst delivery system in the world and an insurance program that is the worst in the universe. Providers have prostituted...

Re: So, The Guy That Made The Decision.......

Accountability? Money? Pshhhew... Whether it be big pharma selling us insulin with a recent 300 % rise in cost, a pill for $600...or the Mercedes driving doctor charging $800 to put a few stitches in, or our health insurance costing $9,000 per year per person...no accountability...it is operation u...

It just looks like Taggart is cleaning up after the guy before him. Cutting loose the guys who didn’t buy in.

Re: Stay Warm Out There

In Antarctica's defense, it is the middle of summer for them right now. They are at 32. If you want to make a good comparison you would have to check their temp now with your temp in July.
