Re: Will a miracle happen and UL makes a bowl??

Well, Clemson 45, UL 10 which is both about what we all expected and less than some thought would happen. No quit in the team; but, still some silly mistakes that cost us. Nice TD drive against the Tiger. Well, until the 4th quarter it was a competition. But, the defense wore out as has happened a b...

Re: Will a miracle happen and UL makes a bowl??

Since joining the ACC we've developed a real feeling around here for catching a Tiger by the Tail. I've written that one off but I feel we can probably score on anyone left on the schedule after that. Our offense looks pretty good; the O-line is tough unlike many previous years. However, the defense...

Will a miracle happen and UL makes a bowl??

My first post in a couple of years. Lots going on here (thankfully, not health issues) has kept me inactive. And quite frankly, not must positive to talk about anyway. Hiring of coach Scott Satterfield a plus as he has put some life back into the team. Not much to say about the previous coach Petrin...

UL sweeping changes

Coach Petino gone, AD Tom Jurich gone (we'll miss Jurich as he built UP into a powerhouse in several sports). Replacements of David Padgett (coach) and Vince Tyra (AD) are good local people but not of the caliber of those fired. :( So, we'll have to wait and see. The basketball team has bu...

Firestorm at UL

It would be difficult to describe in detail the events of this year in basketball. After the second or third large scandal coach Petino is fired  . This did not bother me that much as I thought he should have been let go a few years back after his personal scandal :( . But the university also ...

Re: Close calls

Purdue is really giving Louisville fits... There were 3 poor calls on the Cardinals last drive that saw a Purdue D-Lineman get ejected on what the replay booth intervened and declared targeting (which there was not), a phantom pass interference brought Louisville closer, and a Phantom TD that was r...

Another year and hope springs eternal again..

I am older and less able as the years pass to keep up with the game. Louisville has started the season with two wins, both on the road with one in conference (game just over against UNC). Things are a bit the reverse of what I thought pre-season. Our offensive line has improved quite a bit. The defe...

Re: maybe this year?

NCAA scandal punishments seem extreme and appeals have been filed. Who knows what the result will be. However, recruiting has been out of site for this year and also for next year. Things for the basketball season should be great this year and next year. I think Pitino will be out to prove a point. ...

Re: Dead forum?

Well, for a time last year it was BYU fan and myself. 8) I am on many local basketball forums; and, sometimes, I overlook this forum when I stick to football here. Still, it's been pretty dead here.

Let the games begin

Less than 7 days for many teams to start the 2017 football season. I, for one, can hardly wait. I've already stocked up on snacks and drinks. Let the mayhem begin.

Have fun, Swamp daddy 8)

Re: Louisville: What's next?

You can bet we all (around here) would like to level off at 9-10 wins every year. And, as a longtime fan I know how bad we were in the old days and how far we've climbed under AD Tom Jurich. This man may be a genius at his job as all sports have improved tremendously with the biggest strides coming ...

Re: Have we died and no on told us?

Due to the resource requirement of phpBB (the software this board runs on), and the considerable size of the archive, we have to pay more than you'd think for this thing. It may be cheaper elsewhere, but that requires devoting resources to transfer it over. If anyone wants to set up hosting and the...

Louisville: What's next?

After the amazing start, the season ending nosedive, I am left wonder what the upcoming season will be like. Coach Petrino has been recruiting hard and getting good players some of whom will no doubt play as freshmen. the heavy emphasis is on the O-line which certainly makes sense considering last y...
