Re: Happy New Year

Man, it just dawned on me after checking back in today that it's basically been 18 years since I first posted around on the CFP message boards. The landscape has changed so much since then it's a little wild to reflect on that. I'm 99% sure my first time visiting the forum was summer of 2005.

Re: Rose Bowl

Kind of a weird feeling today. Was just mostly annoyed the entire game, and then relieved towards the end. But mostly annoyed for having to sit through that. The offense and the coaching decisions are still driving me nuts. This isn't a vintage Alabama team, kind of their B+ version that happened to...

Re: What Will $76 Million Buy You ..?

It's not even my money, and I feel bad for the fatcats that fund Texas A&M's athletic department  I would have let Jimbo get at least one more crack at it, but something I'm not sure these SEC schools are aware of--Adding Texas and Oklahoma just made everyone's lives more difficult. Fan bas...

Re: I was beginning to believe the tail was wagging the dog…….

I like those teams like Liberty or JMU getting into a playoff, just to weed out the teams in the first round that don't deserve it should they lose in a 1st round upset. Plus, I think there is a structural issue at play. By denying them a realistic chance to compete, you're basically cutting them of...

Re: Well that sucked!

A lot of that has to do with the fact that the middle of the B1G is complete garbage. I firmly believe that Michigan or Ohio State would have most likely gone 10-2 if they played in the Big 12, Pac-12, or SEC. Our middle portion of the conference is non-competitive. Minnesota, Northwestern, Rutgers...

Re: Well that sucked!

Well you know I would have to check back in after a long absence  I will say this: The last three editions of Michigan football teams have been very beatable. Ryan Day is the primary culprit. He gives us way too much respect and needs to lean into his playmakers on the edge more. His receiv...

Re: Ga v OSU

I picked Ohio State vs. TCU in my natty, so like most of the country I got it halfway right. Different teams though  Ohio State was able to exploit Georgia's secondary. They are the only team in the country outside of Tennessee or Alabama that has enough skill at QB and WR to keep the pressure ...

Re: Michigan v TCU

Thought I would check beck in on my favorite message board to see how everyone was doing after this weekend  Too bad I didn't stop by sooner, I could have told you TCU would win the game. My analysis all year on Michigan football is that a) they haven't played a schedule that would prepare ...

Re: Stick a Fork in Harbaugh

If he would just beat the Buckeyes....he might have lasted. It is pretty incredible that if Brady Hoke's 2-point conversion gamble worked or if Michigan stopped J.T. Barrett on 4th down that we might not be having this conversation. I'm not saying it would have turned the tide in the rivalry necess...

Re: Stick a Fork in Harbaugh

Hey Eric....... its been a while. Good to hear from you and get your insight and perspective on the goings on. I agree, Harbaugh is toast. Read just today were he said he’s going to ‘examine the program from top to bottom and find out what’s wrong and fix it’. Too late coach, guys in your position ...

Re: Stick a Fork in Harbaugh

Nice to see you back roaming the halls. I think you right. I don't really know what what is wrong with Michigan, but the current version is the worst I have ever seen. I do think the lack of solid QB play is probably the most glaring issue. I think Milton was thrown out too soon and not ready. It c...

Stick a Fork in Harbaugh

It's been about 2 years since my last stop by the forum, so I am interested to get caught up with everybody! But I'm here to repeat my common refrain about Michigan football! Even in this semi-meaningless pandemic-stricken season, we were hoping that the product wouldn't be this bad. Harbaugh is a z...

Re: UCF vs LSU

UCF had their backup QB in this game too. I would have loved to see what Milton could have done. But with Mack their offense lost a step. Milton is a game-changer.
